 mini picture frames flea finds: 1. vintage buckles; wood, bakelite, mother-of-pearl, metal (should have a sizable opening) other materials: 1. photo 2. dremel rotary tool 3. pencil 4. card stock 5. scissors 6. archival double-sided tape or glue 7. small paintbrush 8. adhesive magnetic sheeting directions: 1. remove buckle's center using a Dremel rotary tool fitted (#409 cutoff wheel) 2. on a low setting cut a section from the middle of the center bar (leave 1/4" at each end) 3. carefully abrade the rest of the bar with a #932 grinding stone (hint padded vice grips will hold it steady) 4. trace the outside of the buckle onto cardstock 5. cut out the shape to form the backing 6. attack the picture to the backing with archival double sided tape or glue 7. glue the front edges to the buckle, and weigh it down with a few books 8. let dry for eight hours 9. to magnetize; cut strips from magnetic sheeting (br) 10. glue strips from adhesive magnetic sheeting to the backing tip: chic recycler "flea finds" are found throughout the fleatique house  ask Lee (the flea) for a "flea find" not found in our house!
